Founder And Executive Director

Ms. Vicki Rice is the Founder and Executive Director of the Coalition for Educational Partnerships. The mission of the Coalition for Educational Partnerships (CEP) is to support all children with reaching their highest potential and increasing their readiness for a college education. Focused on improving outcomes for African-American and Latino children, Standard and English-Language Learners and children with special needs, CEP’s services include family-community engagement and partnerships, parent education, intervention strategies, curriculum and program development, professional development, leadership team coaching, facilitation, strategic planning, data analysis and assessment and evaluation. The Coalition for Educational Partnerships provides its services to public, private and charter schools, community-based agencies and non-profit organizations. CEP’s list of clients partners includes, but is not limited to: California GEAR UP, Inglewood Unified School District, Montibello Unified School District, The Fulfillment Fund, The Los Angeles Urban League, Public Works and the Council of Mexican-American Administrators.

Before founding the Coalition for Educational Partnerships, Ms. Rice was a director for The Achievement Council, a non-profit public interest organization that examined and addressed the systemic challenges that led to low academic outcomes for urban and low-income students. While at The Achievement Council, her responsibilities included building the capacity of district personnel and school site staff to utilize data as a driver for creating equitable school change by identifying the specific needs of all undeserved students; she also provided training to assist parents and students with effectively participating in school reform and restructuring efforts. Ms. Rice’s education expertise also includes service as a classroom teacher, a full-inclusion facilitator and a LEARN school change consultant.

Leveraging her prior experience in the banking and finance industry, Ms. Rice also brings a deep understanding of the fiscal, systems and operational issues that impact the successful delivery of services to children, youth and families.

Ms. Rice earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Multi-Cultural and Multi-Lingual Education from the California State University at Los Angeles. Ms. Rice also has Multi-Subject K-5 and Special Education certifications from the State of California.
