Leadership Team Development

Because the workload of today’s school administrator is constantly growing, the need for shared leadership is more important than ever!

CEP can help principals build and maintain a cohesive leadership team—one that is able to follow through on work plans, foster accountability and provide support for the development and implementation for a range of school improvement programs.

CEP trains leadership teams to facilitate grade level, department and faculty meetings. We also help teachers to engage effectively in collegial professional practices by providing them with the right tools and protocols. This means that more teachers analyze their data frequently, share and compare best practices, visit each other’s classrooms and exchange samples of student work.

Schools we have worked with to implement a new leadership model have experienced the following results:

  • Immediate implementation of professional development practices
  • Better planning, greater collaboration among staff and more sharing of successful achievements
  • Marked improvement in the quality of instruction
  • A wider distribution of leadership as more people step up and assume leadership roles
  • Teachers view ALL of the students as “their kids”
